Asbury Park resident and professional vocalist, Brett Colby, will be performing in My Funny Valentine: an Evening of Humor & Songs on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 8:00 pm.� This concert will be backed up by a jazz trio and will also feature vocalist and Manasquan High School student Al Califano.
Most recently seen as The Narrator in ReVision Theatre�s production of The Rocky Horror Show, Brett Colby is a singer and actor who has toured the US and Europe for nearly 15 years. Renowned for his interpretations of character roles in the operatic repertory, he has also made appearances in musical theatre, film and radio. He was a frequent guest on 105.1 FM�s Dr. Dre in the Morning, singing operatic renditions of rap songs in a segment called Hip-Hopera, and was prominently featured in the cult comedy film The War on the War on Drugs.
A resident of Asbury Park since 2004, Brett Colby has served as the president of ArtsCAP (the Arts Coalition of Asbury Park) and is the current Director of Development at Algonquin Arts Theatre.
