Acting For Young Actors (Ages 10-12)

Are you an aspiring actor, or perhaps just looking for something fun to do after school? This class focuses on improvisation, movement, voice, character, and story creation. Final performance of a scripted play on stage. Instructor: Megan Sambataro
Tuesday Classes (Sept. 23 - Dec. 9)
FUNdamentals of Acting (Ages 8-9)
Time: 4:00 - 5:15 pm • Cost: $280.00
Come see how much fun drama can be - from tongue twisters to acting in a play. Students will learn the basics of acting, vocal clarity, movement, stage presence and improvisation. Final performance onstage. Instructor: Paul Chalakani
Acting on Stage & On Camera (Ages 13-adult)
Time: 5:15 - 7:00 pm • Cost: $295.00
Students will learn the basics of acting for both stage and camera. With a focus on the techniques of fine acting, students will learn how to handle material for the stage, film or for commercials. Utilizing scripts from published plays, commercial copy and episodic television, class will create a short film and perform a short theatrical showcase in a final performance onstage.

Wednesday Classes (Sept. 24 - Dec. 10)
Puppet Playhouse (Ages 4-6)
Time: 4:00 - 5:00 pm • Cost: $150.00
Using different materials, students will try their hands at making puppets based on children’s literary figures as well as from their own imaginations. Children will learn the art of puppetry from creating the puppets to making them come alive. Their skills will be displayed and will be presented during a final performance.

The Broadway Singer I (Ages 7-10)
Time: 4:00 - 5:00 pm • Cost: $150.00
For those who love the music of Broadway and wish to develop their singing style and performance skills, this class will focus on individuality and the understanding of character. The class covers vocal warm-ups, breathing, musical theatre styles and interpretation of lyrics. Ideal warmup class for Musical Theatre I.

Musical Theatre 1 (Ages 7-10)

Broadway bound or just looking for a good time, this class will do the trick! Students will learn vocal, dance and acting techniques for acting in a musical. Final performance onstage.

The Broadway Singer II (Ages 11 and up)
Time: 4:00 - 5:00 pm • Cost: $150.00
Whether you are considering a career in musical theatre or just wish to learn how to “sell” a song, this class is invaluable. For experienced and beginner performers alike, the class focuses on musical theatre style, characterization, interpretation of lyrics, and will include vocal warm-ups. This class concentrates on the soloist with additional time spent on ensemble singing. Ideal warm-up class for Musical Theatre II. Instructor: Bill Whitefield
Musical Theatre II (Ages 11 and up)

Students will advance their acting, singing and dancing abilities by learning essentials of performance through participation in a musical production. Final performance onstage.

Saturday Classes (Oct. 4 - Dec. 5)
School of Rock (Ages 11 and up)
Time: 10:00 - 12:00 pm • Cost: $295.00
After its overwhelming success during the summer, School of Rock returns! Students will discover what it is like to play and sing in a band and learn basics of music, including repertoire, group listening, focus, rehearsing, presentation and performance skills. Final performance onstage on Friday, Dec. 5th. STUDENTS MUST BRING THEIR OWN INSTRUMENTS.

Songwriting Circle (Ages 13 and up)
Time: 12:30 - 2:00 pm • Cost: $295.00
Are you serious about songwriting? Would you like to become a more effective writer and create new opportunities for your music? Songwriters of all types will join weekly sessions of listening, creating, jamming, sharing, critiquing and enjoying each other’s work. Learn about lyric, melodic, and song construction, as well as versatility in writing styles. Final performance on Friday, December 5th, onstage. ONE TEXT BOOK MAY BE REQUIRED.
