New Surf Series Coming to Algonquin Arts Theatre Featuring Live Music, Surf Art, Film, & Food

California-native Matt Costa will perform a solo, acoustic set featuring familiar and new songs from his albums produced by Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records.

Algonquin Arts Theatre is proud to announce the launch of its new Evening Surf Series, dedicated to the art of surfing and all those who love the Jersey Shore. First up is a free kick-off event on Friday, July 23rd with doors opening at 7:00 pm. This series opener will include live music by Quincy Mumford, art for sale by surf artist Jay Alders, a skate video by Original Longboards, a screening of the surf film Castles in the Sky, and food & beverages from Surf Taco & Starbucks.

The second event of this series is the Surf Bash at Algonquin Arts Theatre, which will take place on Saturday, September 18th, featuring live entertainment, including concert headliner Matt Costa, a solo art show by surf artist Jay Alders, the Original Longboard Skate Team, delicious food & beverages provided by Surf Taco & Starbucks, unique vendors, a variety of surf culture, and much more. Well - known for his indie style, California-native Matt Costa will perform a solo, acoustic set featuring familiar and new songs from his albums produced by Jack Johnson's Brushfire Records. The outdoor surf festival will begin at 4 pm and doors to the show will open at 7:30 pm. Tickets to the festival are separate from tickets to the concert, and it is recommended that reservations are made in advance.

Ticket prices to see Matt Costa perform on Sept 18th are $50 for VIP passes (includes free entry into the outdoor festival, prime seating, and a VIP reception) or $30 for regular tickets (does not include tickets to the outdoor festival). Tickets to the outdoor surf festival only are $10. Tickets can be purchased by calling 732 - 528 - 9211, emailing [email protected], or by visiting www.algonquinarts.org. Box office hours are Monday - Friday from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Algonquin Arts Theatre is located at 173 Main Street in downtown Manasquan, NJ.
